Our current exhibition at the Collyer Bristow Gallery is, 'Borderland', an exhibition of works
that epitomise the idea of "borderland" - the mid space between the natural and the manmade, as
well as the divergences between the past and the present. Borderland brings together sixteen
contemporary artists whose practice has taken on landscape and returned it in painterly, drawn,
sculptural or photographic form. The exhibition investigates different approaches to landscape:
from the urban and artificial to the natural and wild. All artists have different approaches to the
subject matter but revere landscape for its ability to change, adapt and regenerate. Borderland
journeys through landscape, both familiar and imagined. The artists represent some of the best
interpretations of this subject and bring to the gallery a fresh set of questions about Man's
relationship with our ever changing world. Beautiful, evocative and challenging, they open the
Collyer Bristow 2009 programme with a direct look at our place in the world and how we are
influenced by our environment. The exhibition will run from 11 February to 13 May 2009 at the
Collyer Bristow Gallery, 4 Bedford Row, London WC1.
Viewing is by appointment Monday to Friday during office hours. For enquiries, please call the
