Junior Legal Secretary

We have a vacancy for a Junior Legal Secretary to join the Tax & Estate Planning team.

You would be expected to undertake a range of secretarial and administrative duties with guidance from a Legal Secretary, including digital typing, opening & closing files, obtaining billing guides and preparing draft bills, filing and e-filing, maintaining diaries including organising and scheduling meetings, booking lunches, greeting client visitors, booking training courses and managing queries from clients as required. Where necessary you will also be required to provide additional support to secretarial and fee earner staff within the firm. You also will be one of a team of people who organise travel arrangements (air/train tickets) for fee earners in the firm.

Apply for this role About You

You should be pro-active, motivated and keen to be a part of the team and support the fee earners. You must have the ability to prioritise and work on your own initiative to manage a busy workload. You should be proficient in Microsoft office applications, in particular Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and possess fast, accurate typing and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should ideally have at least 6 months’ legal secretarial experience preferably obtained in a trainee legal secretary role or at least 6 months’ experience in an administration role. Formal secretarial training e.g. ILEX is desirable, but not essential.
