Legal Masterclass: essentials to protect you and support your business growth

Event information

11AM-12 Noon

In collaboration with The Women’s Chapter, members of Collyer Bristow’s legal team will be running a free legal masterclass to learn about the tools available to protect you and your business, and to support its growth.

This one-hour intensive masterclass will take you through some key features of business law and offer a practical understanding of what you need to have in place to safeguard the success of your business as it grows. It will also cover important legal issues for you personally, as a business founder and owner.

This interactive event is designed to help you work through the commercial and legal topics that affect both the day to day running and legacy of a business. In particular, the session will include company law, intellectual property law and legal advice to protect you and your family.

This masterclass is for the founders and teams of businesses from start-up to scale-up and beyond, as well as those thinking of starting a business.

The session will be led by Sharon Fryer, who specialises in company law, working on everything in the life of a company, from setting it up, and the relationships between shareholders, through to investment and funding, making acquisitions, and ultimately selling the business or passing it on to the next generation – and everything the directors and shareholders might need in between those milestones.

It will run for 1 hour via zoom, including a Q&A at the end.

Collyer Bristow supports ambitious entrepreneurs, owner-managed and family owned businesses, providing joined-up advice specifically tailored to their needs. Our dedicated team comprises lawyers specialising in corporate, commercial, intellectual property and employment law for the business, and also experts in protecting the private wealth of its owners. We are proud of our long-standing commitment to female-founded businesses, helping redress the gender-imbalance in the entrepreneurial sector and, as part of this focus, we have partnered with The Women’s Chapter specifically to support female entrepreneurs in developing their businesses.

Please register your place via The Women’s Chapter website and you will be sent the zoom details to join ahead of the event.
