  • Acting for a sovereign State in defending a claim of $150m that involved five arbitrations, and court proceedings in five different jurisdictions to seek enforcement of the arbitration awards;
  • Acing for a sovereign State in defending a £30m claim by a foreign lessor arising out of an aircraft lease contract and a linked guarantee agreement.
  • Acting for a global financial services provider in its defence of a claim for £80m brought by its former client seeking rescission of contracts on grounds of unlawful means conspiracy, breach of fiduciary duties, fraud and bribery.
  • Acting for an ultra-high-net-worth individual in defending a potential claim for recovery of US$76m involving complex causes of actions ranging from breach of trust and breach of fiduciary duty to mistake, fraud and conspiracy.
  • Acting for the claimant in arbitration proceedings against the insurer of the defendant, after securing a summary judgment against the defendant before the insurer declined cover.
  • Acting for a high-net worth individual in a claim for breach of undertaking, breach of trust and professional negligence arising out of the intended purchase of a property worth £12.5m in a prime Central London venue.
