Howard particularly specialises in commercial and contract law, copyright, media, entertainment, art and sport. He also advises in relation to all aspects of IT and e-commerce law including gaming law, data protection and privacy issues. Another area Howard focuses on is aviation and shipping law, concentrating primarily on the acquisition, financing and leasing of private executive jets, helicopters and yachts.
Howard’s clients include artists, artists’ agents, auction houses, sports individuals and organisations, universities, authors, composers, recording artists, TV and film companies, record companies, hardware and software houses.
Howard is a member of the International Bar Association and is Chair of the Electronic Entertainment and Online Gaming Subcommittee of the Leisure Division. He is also a member of the Society for Computers and Law, the International Association of Entertainment Lawyers, the European Air Law Association and the Professional Advisers to the International Art Market. He was awarded the BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection in September 2018.
