Collyer Bristow, one of the City of London’s longest established law firms, is proud to sponsor ALABARÉ’s inaugural BIG Sleep at St Paul’s Cathedral – the first ever sleepout to be held in the Cathedral’s historic gardens – raising vital awareness and funds for veterans experiencing homelessness and crisis.
Organised by homelessness charity ALABARÉ, in partnership with the City of London Corporation, the BIG Sleep will take place on Friday 26 June 2026 and will see up to 200 participants sleeping outdoors in solidarity with veterans at risk of homelessness. The event will also feature a special Evensong service at St Paul’s Cathedral, with musical contributions from the British Military Imperial Band and a Military Wives Choir, alongside guest speakers and personal testimonies from individuals whose lives have been transformed through ALABARÉ’s support.
Collyer Bristow’s sponsorship reflects both its strong local presence and its commitment to addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing the surrounding community. Since relocating its headquarters in 2022 the firm, through its CSR programme, has sought to support a range of charities working hard to improve lives in and around the City of London, and recognises homelessness as an issue of significant visibility and impact in the area.
Four members of the firm will take part in the sleepout, representing a cross‑section of the business and demonstrating a collective commitment from all levels of the organisation: Commercial Partner Sarah Coe; Partner and Head of Corporate and Commercial Sharon Fryer; Trainee Solicitor Niamh Watkins; and Legal PA Natalie Nastri.
Phil Palmer, Chief Executive at Collyer Bristow, said:
“We are proud to support ALABARÉ and to see members of our team take part in the BIG Sleep. The charity’s work is deeply important, focusing not just on providing shelter but on helping people rebuild their lives with stability and dignity. That aligns closely with our values as a firm and our commitment to supporting initiatives that deliver real and lasting impact.”
Participants in the BIG Sleep are encouraged to gather sponsorship, helping to raise essential funds for ALABARÉ’s work with veterans and other marginalised individuals at risk of homelessness. Through its support of ALABARÉ, Collyer Bristow is committed to amplifying awareness of the issue and help drive meaningful, lasting change.
