Collyer Bristow has appointed David Vaughan as a Partner in the Dispute Resolution department. David joins the firm from Shakespeare Martineau, where he was also Head of the London Office. His appointment at Collyer Bristow is effective as of 3 May 2022.

David, recognised consistently by legal directories as an expert in his field, is an experienced general commercial litigator with a focus on complex and high-value disputes, often with a multi-jurisdictional element. He specialises in complex corporate/commercial, commercial property/construction and banking/finance litigation, with a practice encompassing High Court proceedings, arbitration, adjudication, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation. David’s wide client-base includes financial institutions, corporates, and entrepreneurial HNW individuals.

Collyer Bristow’s highly regarded Commercial Litigation team focuses on complex high-value disputes, often with an international element. With substantial experience advising corporates and high net-worth individuals, the team is known for its strategic and tactical excellence and for resolving disputes as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. Within the Commercial Dispute Resolution department, the firm’s renowned banking and financial disputes specialists deal with complex financial claims for UK and offshore companies, financial institutions, hedge funds, finance industry professionals and high-net worth individuals. David’s broad expertise and experience will add to the strength in depth of the team overall, taking the number of Partners in the team to six, as the team and firm continues its strong growth in 2022.
