In particular, his effective management of large scale due diligence exercises, for both buyers and sellers, has been praised by clients who have faced demands on their time from the sale and running of their businesses.
Along with Nikhil Vyas, Rob is a key contributor to Collyer Bristow’s games practice, advising clients on setting up appropriate corporate structures, shareholder agreements, raising finance for their business, protecting their investments and looking to buy or sell a company or business within the games industry.

- Acted for the shareholder of Specific Environments Limited, an expert in cleanroom engineering, on their acquisition by Angstrom Technology.
- Acted on the sale of TISSL, a hospitality point of sale specialist supplying a substantial proportion of the UK’s Michelin-starred restaurants, by the ClearCourse Partnership.
- Advised on the asset sale of a custom gaming hardware business, with particular focus on the movement of stock and IP licencing issues.
- Advised on an investment and corresponding shareholders’ agreement in relation to a prominent gaming news website.
- Acted for the shareholders of a leading business in the safety and security industry on their sale to a full service provider of fire protection and prevention solutions, backed by private equity.
- Acted for the founding shareholders in the management buyout of ABL 1 Touch by Mobeus Equity Partners LLP, managing the due diligence and disclosure process throughout 2020.
- Acted in the management buyout of a market-leading provider of tailored loan and savings management systems backed by private equity.
- Acted for the shareholders of one of the UK’s leading vehicle and rail wash systems providers in the sale of a majority shareholding to an award-winning private equity house.
- Acted for the shareholders of a successful data infrastructure business servicing customers in the UK and EMEA in their sale to a global data network solutions company.
- Acted for the shareholders of Socrates Ltd. (“Socrates”), the largest independent screening company in Latin America, on their sale of the business to Sterling Check Corp. a leading global provider of background screening and identity services listed on NASDAQ.
