Real Estate & Construction team joins Collyer Bristow from Ince & Co

Collyer Bristow has announced the recruitment of a six-strong Real Estate & Construction team from Ince & Co. Led by Partner and former Head of Real Estate at Ince & Co, Ian Chappell, the appointments demonstrate Collyer Bristow’s strategic focus on growing its core service offering to mid-sized businesses, high net worth individuals and families, and ambitious entrepreneurs.

Ian is a property and construction litigator, bringing to Collyer Bristow over 20 years’ specialist experience in contentious property and construction law matters, with a particular expertise in acting for land-owners, landlords, developers and construction professionals, who make up the majority of his client base. He provides specialist advice on a full range of disputes that arise in connection with the acquisition, ownership, development, and management of both residential and commercial properties.

Adrian Bingham, also from Ince & Co, specialises in real estate and construction, both contentious and non-contentious advice and often with an international element. He represents developers and contractors in claims involving delay and disruption and interim and final account disputes. On the non-contentious side, he drafts and advises on main and sub-contracts, terms of retainer, collateral warranties, bonds, and other industry documents. He also deals with construction-related property claims including disputed land rights, JV issues, and breach of contracts. Adrian also practises in the field of commercial insurance disputes.

Partner Mino Themistocli joins Collyer Bristow, Mino has developed significant expertise in commercial and residential property law, joint ventures, and property finance. He acts for both commercial organisations and high net worth individuals.

George Georgiou also joins Collyer Bristow as a Partner. With over 30 years’ experience, including founding and running his own firm for over 20 years, George brings with him broad experience in all areas of commercial real estate. He is particularly well known and regarded for his strategic input and ability to resolve complex legal issues.

Joining the Partners from Ince & Co is highly experienced Senior Associate, Penny Arneja. Penny brings over 20 years’ experience in commercial and residential real estate for investors, developers, and owner occupiers. Penny also deals with landlord and tenant matters and acts for both lenders and borrowers in relation to institutional and bridging funding.

The group is supported by a Trainee, Larna Marsh, who will be joining her colleagues in the move across to Collyer Bristow.
