Sharon is a Partner in our Corporate team and Head of our Commercial Services department. She has broad experience of advising on all matters of company law and practice, including acquisitions and disposals of businesses and companies, investments by majority and minority stakeholders and management teams, and designing and implementing domestic and multinational corporate group structures.
Sharon also advises on corporate governance and compliance with directors’ statutory and fiduciary duties.
Sharon takes a practical approach to help clients give legal effect to their commercial and strategic decisions, while managing and mitigating their business and personal risks.
She holds an MA in law (Jurisprudence) from the University of Oxford.

- Acted for several entrepreneurs on disposal of their businesses (to trade and private equity buyers) including advice on succession planning, management buy-outs and Employee Ownership Trusts
- Regularly advises non-UK acquirors (including French, Czech, Singapore and US clients) on their UK acquisitions
- Advice and documentation on complex share rights, addressing voting control and economic (capital and income) entitlements for minority and majority investors
- Lead lawyer and project manager on corporate group reorganisations for a number of UK and multinational groups, to better align legal and operational structure, save costs and manage risk
- Regularly advised UK and multinational groups on tax-efficient financing, optimising group structure, remedying dividend blocks and allowing repatriation of profits
- Delivering company law training to in-house legal teams and training for directors on their statutory and fiduciary duties.
