He is skilled in managing teams of lawyers and experienced in the strategy and tactics that inevitably accompany disputes work.

Stephen adopts a commercial approach, aiming where possible to bring disputes to an end in a way that is acceptable to the client and at the lowest cost.

Stephen is a member of the Commercial Litigation Association, the Fides Network Group, the Financial Services Lawyers Association, the Fraud Advisory Panel, the International Bar Association and the London Solicitors Litigation Association.

Dispute over loan notes issued in relation to the acquisition of shipping vessels

We advised a shipping company in a dispute over loan notes issued in relation to the acquisition of vessels and including an injunction application to restrain enforcement of loan note provisions pending the outcome of the arbitration.

€120 million claim between global automotive product manufacturers and Japanese car-maker

We acted for global automotive product manufacturers in litigation and in a trial brought by a major car- maker over the supply of 1.6 million car batteries which involved approximately 900,000 separate claims and a total claim value of about €120 million.
