Collyer Bristow is delighted to announce that Carly Russell will be joining the Firm as a Partner from Monday 4 August.

Carly brings over 25 years’ experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious private wealth matters, both UK domestic and international. She joins Collyer Bristow’s 13 partner-strong Private Wealth Department and will sit across the Tax & Estate Planning and Private Wealth Disputes teams.

Carly advises individuals, families and fiduciaries in the administration and planning of substantial wealth and complex international affairs for the purposes of lifetime planning, succession, asset protection and tax, with the use of corporate vehicles and traditional trusts and wills. She is able to address issues associated with the challenges people may experience in respect of mental capacity and vulnerability, with focus on Court of Protection and Deputyship matters, trusts for vulnerable persons and the preparation and use of Powers of Attorney.

She has also developed a strong practice in all aspects of UK and cross-border private client dispute resolution. She has extensive experience advising on contentious matters such as dependency (1975 Act) claims, TLATA claims, will challenges, trust breaches, and claims by disappointed beneficiaries.
