Exceptional, the Collyer Bristow graduate art award, is a competition for graduates from London Art Schools/ Universities, open to those who graduated between 2016-19 from BA/MA/MFA/Post Grad Diploma courses. Artists are invited to apply for the opportunity to be part of a four month curated group exhibition at Collyer Bristow Gallery and to be selected for the £2000 award.
This opportunity is aimed at supporting new graduate artists in the precarious initial years after graduation. The competition is free to enter as a reflection of the firm’s continued commitment to supporting artists.
The selection committee and judges of the award are: Jordan Kaplan (Curator and Art Producer at The Contemporary Art Society),Kristian Day, (Independent Gallerist and Curator of Broadway Gallery in Letchworth Garden City) Jennifer Guerrini Maraldi,(Owner & Director of JGM Gallery), Steven Heffer, (Artist and Head of the Collyer Bristow Gallery Committee) and Rosalind Davis (Artist and Curator of the Collyer Bristow Gallery).
