Government announces postponement to IR35 tax reform
1 minute read
Published 18 March 2020
Last month the Treasury confirmed changes would be made to the off-payroll working rules, IR35, which will see every medium and large private sector business in the UK become responsible for setting the tax status of their contract workers, as of April 2020.
In an attempt to alleviate pressure during the COVID-19 fallout, the government announced on 18 March 2020 that is has postponed these reforms until 2021.
This delay means that we will reschedule the scheduled Collyer Bristow breakfast seminar to later in the year when we are able to give the seminar in person, as originally planned.
We look forward to sharing details with you over the coming months and helping you and your clients prepare for these changes.
