The candidate will need to demonstrate competence in all areas of Tax & Estate Planning law. They will have ample operational independence, professional responsibility and client contact, but will also benefit from constant support and encouragement from other members of the Department, at all levels, including supervision from highly experienced partners.
The Private client services department includes a strong Tax and estate planning team which advises a wide range of high and ultra-high net worth individuals and families on matters including trust and probate administration, advising on inheritance, capital gains and income tax mitigation, preparing wills, creating trusts, drafting and dealing with lasting powers of attorney and the affairs of incapacitated, charity administration and advice, and the full range of other Private Client services. Much of the work has a large tax component, both domestic and international (the team has particular strength in non-domicile and offshore matters).
You will need to form good working relationships with clients, colleagues and other professions at all levels of seniority. You will be a people-person, with emotional intelligence who is assured, professional and confident in ability.
